Rules
- Eligibility: Open to high school students. Students must register in advance to participate.
- Teams: Participants must work in teams (size limits TBD, e.g., 2-4 members). Teams must be finalized before the event begins.
- Original work: All projects must be built during the event. Use of open-source libraries, frameworks, and starter templates is allowed, but the core project must be created during the Designathon. Design must be yours!
- AI tools: Use of AI-assisted development tools is permitted and encouraged, as long as students understand and can explain their project's functionality.
- Conduct: All participants must follow the SHPE Code of Conduct and treat mentors, judges, and fellow participants with respect. Any form of harassment or discrimination will not be tolerated and may result in disqualification.
- Submission deadline: All projects must be submitted on Devpost by the stated deadline. Late submissions will not be judged.
- Judging: Projects will be judged based on criteria outlined in the Judging section. Judges' decisions are final.
- Mentorship: Teams are encouraged to seek help from SHPE mentors throughout the event, but final submissions must reflect the team's own work and understanding.
